Announced yesterday, head coach of the San Antonio Spurs Gregg Popovich wins coach of the year. This is his second time receiving the award (2003). Coach Tom Thibodeau of the Bulls came in 2nd place. I think that either one of them were the best candidates for the award. Thibodeau won the award last year and D.Rose won league MVP. When Pop won the award back in 2003, the Spurs also went on to win the championship. Curious to see if he can repeat history again this post season. The Spurs are currently up 1-0 against the Utah Jazz. Game 2 tonight at 7pm on TNT.
