Defensive Player Of The Year

The Knicks finally have something positive to talk about this post season. The defensive player of the year award goes to Knicks center, Tyson Chandler. Last year the Knicks were tied for 27th in the league in points allowed. This season, they quickly went from almost last to 11th in the league in points allowed. Last season, Tyson anchored the Dallas Mavericks to a NBA Championship. He also had one of his best offensive seasons this year, averaging 11.3 points and shooting an NBA high 67.9 percent from the field. Chandler averaged 9.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots. The Knicks currently down 2-0 to the Miami Heat. Game 3 is Thursday at 7pm on TNT.
