Rookie Of The Year

The results are in...Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving will be named NBA Rookie of the Year. After playing in only 11 games at Duke and leaving after his freshman year, Kyrie was drafted #1 overall by the Cavs. In his rookie season, Kyrie averaged 18.5 ppg, 5.4 apg, and 3.7 rpg. This will be the 2nd award that Kyrie takes home this year. In the Rookie- Sophomore game, he brought home the MVP award after dropping 34 points and 9 assists, while shooting 8-8 from the 3 point line. Irving is the 4th overall #1 pick to win the award in the last 10 years.
