BULLIED

As we all know, Derrick Rose will not be returning to the Chicago Bulls line up for the rest of the post season. But, for game 2 of the series he was in the building to watch his team take on the 76ers. He presented the game ball to the official prior to the game and recieved a standing ovation. The game was well played through the first half from both teams. But, in basketball as we all know...you still have another half to play. In the 3rd quarter, Philly just took it to the chest of the Bulls defense. After trailing by 8 at halftime,Philly would go on to outscore Chicago 36-14 in the quarter. There was no coming back after that. Jrue Holiday scored 26 points on 11-15 shooting. Everybody on the 76ers squad had it going.
At that point, you could just look at some of the Bulls players body language and there was nothing positive about it. Rose could do nothing but watch from a suite. 76ers coach Doug Collins said, "That third quarter we played tonight was as good a quarter as I ever seen our team play as long as I've been with them...we were active." Active was an understatement. The Bulls known for their stellar defense, allowed 25 fastbreak points. Thats unacceptable for a team looking to win a championship. Without D.Rose, it will be much harder for this Chicago team to reach the NBA Finals. Philly went on to win the game 109-92. If the Bulls play defense or the lack thereof like they did last night, they might not make it out the 1st round of the playoffs. Game 3 is Friday at 8pm on ESPN2.
