MV3

For the 3rd time in 4 years, LeBron James has won the league MVP. He joins a few people you might have heard of: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, and Moses Malone.

Going from being the worlds most hated athlete, to league MVP in the span of a year isn't bad. A week ago in a press conference LeBron said, "it would be amazing and would be humbling" when asked if he won league MVP again.

He has been praised around the league from his peers and coaches. Celtics coach Doc Rivers said, "I think LeBron is an MVP candidate every year. Its just who he is...he only does everything. So I dont know what more you can ask from him. The years he doesn't win it, it'll usually be because people are just tired of voting for him. Statistically, if you go all around game, I dont know how you dont vote for him every year"

This year LBJ averaged 27.1 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 6.2 assists, and 1.9 steals. He did this all while shooting a career best 53% from the field. Only MJ had a better season that LeBron. In the 1988-89 season, Mike averaged 32.5 ppg, 8 rpg, 8 assists, 2.9 steals, while shooting 54% from the field. LeBron will be presented the MVP trophy in front of the home crowd Sunday in Miami when the Heat take on the Indiana Pacers in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi- Finals at 3:30pm on ABC.
